Anglin would add two free throws to extend the lead, but DeCosey and Danny Brix would answer with their own free throws to tie the game at 51. The two teams would exchange buckets until DeCosey would hit a three with just over 2 minutes left to give the Falcons a 58-57 lead with two minutes to play. Weisz and Mosley would add free throws over the next minute to give the Pirates a 59-58 lead. However DeCosey would save the day for St. Joe’s, hitting a go-ahead shot with 45 seconds left to give St. Joe’s the lead 60-59.
